What an amazing piece of history this is!!
This old cotton quilt is from the USA and makes for a beautiful display piece. This one is from my own collection .... time for it's next owner (which I am guessing is the next in a line of many) to enjoy!
It appears to have been machine pieced, but is hand quilted and the binding has been handstitched. I bought this one over from the states approx 10-15 years ago. Please don't expect a perfect quilt as it is far from that. It shows the wear and tear from it's many years of love and use, so is not without it's problems, but that is what makes it such a charming piece.
Perfect to display with your other quilts or vintage linen, throw over an armchair or fold as a runner at the end of your bed. I have one similar at the foot of my bed and it always gets comments when visitors walk past the room.
